novaPDF 5.5 released, with profile management options (February 12th, 2008)

The final version of novaPDF 5.5 was released and introduces several new features, fixes and enhancements, such as the option to append content to an existing PDF file.

Here’s a list of what’s new and improved in this version:

  • Added Import/Export profiles option
  • Added external function exit code to cancel print job in novaPDF OEM
  • Added “/RegisterWin32COM” install parameter for silent installers
  • Added “/DoNotAskReason” command line parameter for silent uninstalling
  • Added new large printing forms (A0)
  • Added Norwegian and Turkish interface languages
  • Changed temporary PDF files and logs location from C:\Windows\Temp to application data folder
  • Added error message when PDF file wasn’t created “Error creating PDF file: [reason]”
  • Fixed crash when “use regional setting” was set for default language
  • Fixed crash when printing from Ms Outlook on Windows Vista MSOutlook
  • Fixed bug when converting fonts with GlyphID (forced now to unicode subetting)
  • Fixed installation bug that changed WBEM regtype to Path
  • Fixed bug when using watermark images from another computer
  • Fixed bug index returned by AddWatermarkImage
  • Fixed bug when sending emails via SMTP to multiple addresses
  • Corrected clipping path bug (in Visio drawings)
  • Corrected symbols conversion from Visio
  • Corrected conversion error for documents with different page size combinations (occured in Calyx Point, MS Word, TextMarker)
  • Corrected conversion error for Unicode characters used in Text Watermarks
  • Corrected processing speed for registered version
  • Corrected printing error when converting Word documents with embedded Excel tables
  • Corrected TransparentBlt and StrecthDIBits
  • Corrected page layout bug for Excel
  • Cnstaller command line parameters are not case sensitive
  • Corrected Chinese punctuation conversion bug
  • Corrected error when printing to novaPDF from Adobe Reader 8
  • Corrected conversion error when original text had vertical font
  • Corrected conversion error for rotated images in Word- fixed bug with paper margins and origins when converting from Word

novaPDF 5.4 released, with lookup address option (February 11th, 2008)

novaPDF v 5.4 was released today and this new release introduces several fixes and enhancements, such as the Windows Vista compatibility.

Here’s a list of what’s new and improved in this version:

  • Added Copy Text/Image Watermarks dialog
  • Added “Lookup Address” option when sending emails
  • Corrected rotated and vertical texts conversion
  • Corrected conversion from WordArt, MS Word backgrounds and MS Visio drawings
  • Uninstaller deletes now the driver files
  • Other small bug fixes for SDK and printer driver

novaPDF 5.3 released, with text watermarks (September 25th, 2007)

novaPDF v 5.3 was released today and this new release introduces several fixes and enhancements, such as text watermarks and an improved text compression algorithm.

Here’s a list of what’s new and improved in this version:

  • Added Text Watermarks option
  • Optimized text compression algorithm – the size of PDF files is now reduced by up to 80% (for documents consisting mainly of text)
  • Finnish and Arabic user interface localizations added
  • Minor bug fixes

novaPDF v 5.2 was released today and this new release introduces several fixes and enhancements, such as compatibility with 64-bit operating systems, Korean user interface added and more.

  • Compatibility with 64-bit operating systems (Windows Vista 64-bit, Windows XP 64-bit and Windows 2003 Server 64-bit)
